Sicilian School of Comics and Animation.
It
was a non-profit cultural association that operated in the field of
artistic research and experimentation: creation of films, comics,
cartoons and where it carries out its activity with its own skills of
artists, designers and coordinators. The
agency has been active in the field of multimedia, in the Film and
Sequential Arts in general, with integrated projects, operational,
creative and cinematographic Creative Part Technique, artistic, cultural
in general, in all sectors and in particular in the recovery of
cultural heritage and the arts in general, with particular attention to
communication sciences, sequences and cinema. The agency coordinated the projects created and prepared for its own account or on behalf of other parties
- The project was born from an idea of Artist and professional illustrator in 1994,
- the prestigious School had been built in 1997,
Among the projects of Italian Artist Max Crivello, the one on comics in Sicily, in 1999,
which provided three vocational training courses called:
- Let’s create together, Sequential Arts - Held at the Scuola Statale Lombardo Radice in Palermo 1999/2000
in 2000/01 the Sicilian school of comics, presents a project to the Sicilian Region in collaboration with another training institution, which is approved. But as a result of
lack of agreement between the parties, it is carried out by training institution.
The Sicilian school of comics, closed for strong interference from other realities in 2001,
- at the request of students and families, is reopened in the 2003
